You cannot be held at fault for thinking this product to be a laptop. It has so many digital multimedia facilities that you can easily mistake it for a laptop. You can see a movie, photographs, personal videos and a whole load of data which on the move via the Archos AV 380. The capacity of the player is quite amazing. It allows you to watch almost 160 hours of near-DVD quality of MPEG4 video with MP3 sound. The LCD monitor is 3.8 inches in size and the player has an 80 GB hard disk, something which is found in the latest PCs. The size of the player is very compact as it easily fits into your palm. You can record programs via your television, VCR, and camcorder and convert it directly into MP4. If the size and capacity was not enough, the player also comes with an remote control and built in microphone. Connectivity with other players is also there as you can connect it with almost all audio/video equipment with ease via the USB 2.0 auto-connection. An additional joystick allows you to make the player more interactive.

The number of features plus the capacity of the player is what makes this the perfect entertainment console especially for people who are constantly on the move. The handy size of the player is also quite neat and can be easily stowed away when you want.
con's
Price is a definite constraint when it comes to this piece of equipment. Not many people would opt for it till such time the prices fall. Apart from that, the battery life is a lot less than what is promised. You can get about 4 hours of playing time before it is time to recharge again.
