    MP3 players are in high demand and thus a number of manufacturers are gunning for the market. Archos AV 400 20 GB has some excellent features including a 20000 MB storage capacity which lets you play audio and video with ease. The player supports a wide range of formats making it a very versatile player. The display is 262000 colors LCD display and you can use a compact flash memory with it. Bit rate is from 30 to 320 kbps and you can use USB for transfer of data. The player includes earphones, integrated microphone, audio line in and headphone output. The battery life is 12 hours and the player weighs only 280 grams.

    pro's
    You can play up to 200 movies on this player. Apart from that, this player is also compatible with both PC and Macintosh systems.

    con's
    Though the MP3 player has almost all features that other MP3 players have, there is no FM Tuner in-built. This feature would have been welcome.

    Archos's now classic AV420 laid the foundation for modern PVPs and PVRs.

    pro's
    Compact and sexy; fantastic screen; ingenious cradle; wireless remote; VCR-like TV recording with program guide; CompactFlash slot; carrying case; removable battery; excellent battery life; resume/bookmark functions; supports DRM-protected WMAs.

    con's
    Expensive; video conversion process not for novices; only 20GB of storage; song files aren't automatically indexed; uncomfortable earbuds.
