    Purchased 18months ago. May not have DIVx or HDMI or Dual Layer disks, but easy to use and sensible machine at good price. Must use RW+ disks for compatibility with other DVD players. Go for the larger HDisk model nowadays.

    pro's
    ease of use, svideo in (for camcorder record), good value, sensibly designed for everyday use

    con's
    needs record to RW+ for compatiblity with DVD players, although can use DVD+/-R for local use. Internal fan can become noisy. No USB type out for transfer; VR format and editing very basic
