    The SAMSUNG LE19R88BD HDIDTV is a superb television with all first class technical specifications. It comes with a picture enhancement technology of DNIe image and a 2000 contrast mode. It has only one sound type specification of SRS TruSurround. Some of the input options of the SAMSUNG LE19R88BD HDIDTV include 1xHDMI, 1xSCART, 1xComponent, 1xPC and a visible screen size of 19 inches. It also comes with a digital TV receiver for those extra or additional channels. Then there is the ready made HD to easily connect it to a HD source. Thus, with this SAMSUNG TV at home your entertainment will never be at stake.

    My advice - look elsewhere if you want good HDMI picture quality!
    Why? Oh my, the stuttering!
    Goodness knows what Samsung were thinking when they released this TV. Don't they test their products? I got this TV specificly to watch upscaled DVD from a Philips player but the HD input is terrible with horrendous stuttering. Indeed, the first starship fly in on Star Wars Phantom Menace looked like someone keeps stamping on the brakes. After trying the TV with two other players (Wharfedale & Dual) I have come to the conclusion that it is definitely the TV - particularly as scrolling banners on QVC also stutter.
    The only solution is to use the component connectors (YUV) which defeats the object and is unsatisfactory for a TV by a maker such as Samsung.
    I shall use this TV unitl it until it dies but will not be purchasing Samsung in the future as I find I cannot trust any company who can deliberately release a product with an obvious and glaring design fault (er, sorry, "feature")

    Nice design, Good access to controls. Clear picture. Good sound (via external equipment). Good connectivity inc PC.

    con's
    Heavy stuttering making it unusable for direct HDMI to HDMI connection. So-so contrast ratio. Slightly washed out blacks. Very poor internal speakers.
